One look at this dish and you’re bound to fall in love with the creamy mix of basil pesto, crunchy green beans, seared shrimp and savoury Parmigiano Reggiano cheese. Make this recipe with either classic Barilla Fettuccine pasta or Gluten Free Barilla Fettuccine pasta; both perfectly al dente for a range of dietary needs!
Ingredients

1 box | Barilla Fettuccine pasta |
1 tbsp | extra virgin olive oil |
1/2 lb | small shrimp, peeled and deveined |
3 cups | green beans |
1/4 cup | basil pesto |
1/2 cup | Parmigiano Reggiano cheese, grated |
To taste | salt and black pepper |
1 tbsp | Italian flat leaf parsley, chopped |

Method
Chef's tip
This recipe can also be made using Barilla Gluten Free Fettuccine pasta.
Step 1
Bring a large pot of water to boil, then cook the Barilla Fettuccine pasta according to package directions and reserve 3/4 cup cooking liquid. Add in green beans for last 3 minutes of pasta cooking.
Step 2
Meanwhile, in a large skillet, sear the shrimp on both sides until browned but not overcooked; then remove from the skillet and place onto a plate.
Step 3
In the same skillet, add the pesto and reserved cooking water, bring to a simmer.
Step 4
Drain the Barilla Fettuccine pasta and combine with the sauce.
Step 5
Remove the skillet from the heat and fold in the shrimp, garnish with cheese and parsley.
