Easy Bolognese Air Fryer Lasagna

Ingredients

Serves 4

6 sheets Barilla Oven-Ready Lasagne pasta

For the Ragù

2 ½ cups tomato sauce
1 tbsp extra virgin olive oil
250 g ground beef
½ cup water

For the Béchamel

1 cup milk
4 tbsp flour
2 tbsp butter

Additional Ingredients

3/4 cup shredded mozzarella
To taste salt and black pepper
10 leaves fresh basil , cut julienne

Method

Tip

Prepare the lasagna with the sauce still hot. Make sure the béchamel has a smooth liquid consistency. Add the cheese on the top layer only for the last 5 min in the air fryer.

Step 1

Preheat the air fryer to 325 ℉.

Step 2

Make the ragù: In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the ground beef and cook until browned and crumbled. Stir in the tomato sauce and water, season with salt and pepper, and simmer for 5 minutes.

Step 3

Prepare the béchamel: In a medium saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat. Add the flour and whisk constantly for 1–2 minutes until smooth and lightly golden. Slowly pour in the milk, whisking continuously to prevent lumps. Simmer for 3–4 minutes, stirring often, until the sauce thickens to a creamy consistency. Season with a pinch of salt and black pepper.

Step 4

In a greased 8x8-inch baking dish, spread ¼ of the ragù and ¼ of the béchamel. Top with 2 sheets of Barilla Oven-Ready Lasagne.

Step 5

Add another ¼ of the ragù, ¼ of the béchamel, 3 tbsp mozzarella, and some basil. Continue layering in this order for 3 more layers, leaving the final top layer without cheese.

Step 6

Place the dish in the air fryer and bake for 15 minutes.

Step 7

Remove the dish, sprinkle with the remaining mozzarella, and return to the air fryer for 5 more minutes, until the cheese is melted and bubbly.

Step 8

Remove the lasagna, top with the remaining basil, and let it rest for 10 minutes before slicing and serving. Buon appetito!
